How to Download Course Files from Canvas

Steps to Access and Download User Files from Canvas LMS:
Log in to Canvas: Open a web browser and go to your school's Canvas LMS login page. Enter your username and password to access your account.
Go to your "Account" and then select "Files": Once logged in, look for the "Accounts" icon in the global navigation menu on the left side of the screen. Click on Account and then select Files from the pop out menu to access your personal file storage area.
Locate the file: In the Files area, you'll see a list of folders and files you've uploaded or that have been shared with you. Navigate through the folders to find the specific file you want to download.

Download the file:

Individual File: Click on the file name. This will open a preview of the file in your browser. Right-click on the preview and select "Save as" or "Download" to save the file to your computer.

Multiple Files: Select the checkboxes next to the files you want to download. Then, click the "Download" button that appears at the top of the file list. Canvas will compress the selected files into a single ZIP archive for download.
Choose a download location: A dialog box will pop up asking you where you want to save the file. Choose a location on your computer where you can easily find it later.
Save the file: Click the "Save" button in the dialog box to start the download. The file will be saved to your computer.
How to Download Course Files from Canvas

Go to the SPS Canvas Site and log in with your Wake Forest credentials. Your username will be the first part of your WFU email (everything before the @wfu.edu suffix). Your password will be your WFU account password.

If you do not remember your email account username or password, please submit a Help Ticket. Include the following information in the ticket body:
- Your full name
- a contact phone number
- indicate you need to access your student Canvas account
- On your Canvas home page locate the navigation bar (located on the left side of the screen). Click the "courses" icon to open a list of your accessible courses
3. Click the "All Courses" link
4. Find the name of the course that contains the files you want to download. Each accessible course name is a hyperlink that will take you to that course's content.
- If the course name is not an active link or if the course name is not listed, submit a Help Ticket.
5. From the course's home page, locate the "Files" link in the left-side navigation bar.
- If the "File" link is not listed, submit a Help Ticket.
6. A screen will appear listing all accessible files for this course. Find the file you want to download and click the three vertical ellipses located on the right side of the file name row. A "Download" link will appear. Click the "Download" link and your file will download onto your computer.
